Siemens and Nvidia Test AI Humanoid Robot in German Factory
Siemens has tested the Humanoid HMND 01 robot, powered by Nvidia's AI, at its Erlangen facility. The trial achieved over 90% task completion in logistics, signaling advancements in AI-driven manufacturing.

Siemens deployed the Humanoid HMND 01 robot at its electronics plant in Erlangen, Germany, completing over 90% of its tasks autonomously during an eight-hour trial. The robot demonstrated the ability to move approximately 60 containers per hour, performing logistics tasks traditionally handled by human workers.
This initiative is part of a collaboration with Nvidia to create adaptive factories that integrate AI-driven robots alongside humans. Utilizing Nvidia's simulation tools significantly reduced development time from two years to seven months, potentially alleviating labor shortages by enabling robots to perform complex tasks. The companies view this trial as a significant step towards implementing physical AI in industrial settings.
