Sierra Nevada Corp. Opens Two New Hangars at Dayton International Airport
Sierra Nevada Corp. inaugurated its third and fourth maintenance hangars, totaling 200,000 square feet, at Dayton International Airport. The expansion is aimed at enhancing capabilities for Air Force aircraft maintenance, with potential for further growth depending on demand and state infrastructure improvements.

Sierra Nevada Corp. has completed the construction of two new maintenance, repair, and overhaul hangars at Dayton International Airport, each approximately 100,000 square feet. This development marks the conclusion of the second phase of the company's expansion plan, which includes a total of four hangars.
The future of further expansion hinges on Air Force demand and the recent $78.8 million state investment in airport infrastructure. Company leaders have indicated plans for additional facilities, potentially two more hangars of 90,000 square feet each or a single 195,000-square-foot structure. The ongoing partnership between the industrial sector and the military exemplifies a strategy for growth and adaptability within the defense sector.
