The Tamil Nadu government has initiated the SIPCOT Revival Mission to address the long-standing infrastructural issues at the Manapparai industrial park, where projects have been stalled due to insufficient infrastructure and planning delays. The government is implementing tenders for road construction, water supply improvements, street lighting, and a 110kV electrical substation.
Additionally, public transport services will be enhanced to facilitate worker commutes. The minister stated that comprehensive testing and plans for water supply through the Cauvery project are underway. Criticism from the opposition regarding the previous administration's handling of infrastructure was addressed, with the current government emphasizing its proactive measures to resolve issues that have persisted for years.
