SK Group has entered into memorandums of understanding with the Nghe An provincial government and Vietnam's National Innovation Center to foster the development of an AI ecosystem in Vietnam. The initiative includes plans for AI data centers in Nghe An, a rapidly growing industrial area, and is anticipated to incorporate energy solutions linked to the Quynh Lap LNG power project, with construction set for 2027 to 2030.
SK Telecom and SK Innovation will oversee the data center's development and operations, while the local government will facilitate necessary approvals and support. This collaboration is part of SK's strategy to implement its 'AI full-stack' model internationally, contributing to Vietnam's growth in key sectors.
