SK Innovation deployed the Ark-M oil recovery robot during an oil spill response drill at its Ulsan Complex. This marks the first use of a robot by a private company in such a drill. The Ark-M, developed by startup Sheco, can suction 30,000 liters of water and pollutants per hour while purifying it to achieve pollutant levels below 5 PPM.

Its performance is validated by the Korea Coast Guard, Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation, and the Navy. Following the drill, SK Enterm will assess the potential for purchasing more robots from Sheco and expanding their collaboration.
