Smyrna, Tennessee, is advancing multiple development projects to enhance community services for residents. The Sewart's Landing, a 44-acre development worth $400 million, will feature world-class architecture and a pedestrian-friendly design, honoring the history of Sewart's Air Force Base, which operated from 1941 to 1971.

Additional projects include the construction of a Kroger Marketplace at Lee Victory Parkway and Bulldog Drive, and the second phase of baseball fields at Cedar Stone Park, which will include turf and LED lighting. The town plans to host family-friendly events such as Depot Days and a special Fourth of July celebration in 2026, coinciding with the nation's 250th anniversary.
