Smyrna Plans $400 Million Sewart's Landing Development and Park Improvements for 2026
Smyrna, Tennessee, is set to launch a $400 million development project called Sewart's Landing in 2026, which will feature a pedestrian-friendly design and honor the history of Sewart's Air Force Base. Additional initiatives include a new Kroger Marketplace and enhanced baseball fields at Cedar Stone Park, alongside community events to celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary. The town will also implement roadway improvements based on feedback from the Safe Streets For All survey to enhance safety for all users.

Smyrna, Tennessee, is advancing multiple development projects to enhance community services for residents. The Sewart's Landing, a 44-acre development worth $400 million, will feature world-class architecture and a pedestrian-friendly design, honoring the history of Sewart's Air Force Base, which operated from 1941 to 1971.
Additional projects include the construction of a Kroger Marketplace at Lee Victory Parkway and Bulldog Drive, and the second phase of baseball fields at Cedar Stone Park, which will include turf and LED lighting. The town plans to host family-friendly events such as Depot Days and a special Fourth of July celebration in 2026, coinciding with the nation's 250th anniversary. Feedback from the Safe Streets For All survey will inform roadway improvements to enhance safety for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists.
