SoCalGas Employees Contribute Over 1,100 Hours to Community Support in Southern California
In May 2026, SoCalGas employees volunteered more than 1,100 hours to assist families across 38 cities in Southern California. This initiative aimed to alleviate financial pressures by connecting families to food, housing, and workforce resources.

Southern California Gas Co. (SoCalGas) reported its employees dedicated over 1,100 volunteer hours in May 2026, equivalent to more than 27 full-time workweeks, as part of the Glad to be of service initiative.
The efforts spanned nine counties and 38 cities, supporting organizations like the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and The Salvation Army. Key focus areas included food distribution, housing assistance, workforce development, and support for vulnerable populations. These initiatives are crucial as they address the rising financial strain on families, enhancing community resilience and resource access.
