South Korea Repatriates 73 Fraud Suspects from Cambodia Amid Ongoing Investigations

South Korea has repatriated 73 individuals suspected of participating in online fraud operations in Cambodia, linked to a scheme that defrauded over 800 South Koreans for approximately £33 million. This represents the largest group of fraud suspects ever repatriated.

The operation follows a joint investigation that uncovered seven scam centers involved in the fraudulent activities. Meanwhile, Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te has offered to discuss sanctions violations with Ukraine after allegations surfaced about Taiwan supplying missile components to Russia.

In Japan, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has dissolved parliament for early elections on February 8, focusing on measures to address rising living costs and defense spending.
