South Korean Army Develops AI System for Battlefield Decision Support
The South Korean Army is advancing the integration of generative AI into military operations to enhance decision-making. This initiative aims to create an AI agent capable of analyzing battlefield data and generating operational recommendations.

The South Korean Army is initiating a project to develop an AI agent for military applications. The Army Information and Communications School has issued a tender for research on the application and validation of AI agents, focusing on a system that can autonomously formulate plans and execute tasks.
This prototype aims to analyze data and provide recommendations to commanders, enhancing operational efficiency across various military functions. The system is expected to integrate with the Korea Joint All-Domain Command and Control System (KCCS-A) and could serve as a training tool for personnel. The shift to AI technology is intended to optimize resource management and improve decision-making capabilities.
