South Korea's 35th Infantry Division Conducts Anti-Drone Defense System Verification Exercise
The 35th Infantry Division of South Korea conducted an anti-drone defense system verification exercise on the 22nd at the Agricultural Genetic Resources Center, as part of its cold-weather tactical training. The exercise aimed to enhance coordination among integrated defense elements and verify the defense capabilities of national facilities, involving the Chungmu Brigade, the Korean National Police Agency's Special Forces, and Jeonju City Hall, among others.
The scenario simulated a hostile drone attack on the center, utilizing various anti-drone equipment, military armored vehicles, and police tactical units. Participants executed an emergency evacuation of local residents, controlled the scene, and neutralized an unidentified drone, showcasing advanced operational effectiveness.
The training concluded with fire and health services managing simulated emergencies. Lt. Col. Yeo Wae-seong emphasized the importance of practical training for national safety and operational readiness.
