Southern Energy and SEFE Sign LNG Sales Contract in Berlin for 2 Million Tons Annually
NATURAL GAS
Southern Energy (SESA) and SEFE Securing Energy for Europe have finalized a contract in Berlin for the sale of 2 million tons of LNG annually for 8 years, commencing in late 2027. This agreement follows a framework deal from December.
The LNG will be produced by the 'Hilli Episeyo' vessel in Río Negro, Argentina, and constitutes over 80% of its production capacity. The contract's revenues will help monetize Argentina's gas resources from Vaca Muerta and enhance foreign currency generation. Key figures from both companies attended the signing ceremony, emphasizing the strategic importance of this partnership for Europe’s energy security.
