Space Force Establishes Acquisition Portfolios for Space Control and Orbital Warfare
The Space Force has established all mission-focused acquisition portfolios, including those for space control and orbital warfare. Tom Ainsworth announced at the McAleese Defense Programs Conference that four of the seven Portfolio Acquisition Executives (PAEs) are now officially in place. These include Missile Warning and Tracking, Infrastructure, Battle Management, Command and Control, Communications and Space Intelligence, and Satellite Communication and Position, Navigation & Timing. The Integration PAE will focus on maturing technology for new mission areas, including cislunar capabilities.

Tom Ainsworth reported that four of the seven Portfolio Acquisition Executives (PAEs) are established: Missile Warning and Tracking, Infrastructure, Battle Management, Command and Control, Communications and Space Intelligence, and Satellite Communication and Position, Navigation & Timing.
The Integration PAE will oversee new technologies and cislunar capabilities. The PAEs aim to enhance the Pentagon's approach to acquiring weapon systems, following reforms advocated by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
