Space Inventor Implements PTC's Arena PLM Solution to Enhance Digital Workflows
Danish-Swedish satellite BIFROST was launched on June 21 from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. Developed by Space Inventor for Danish and Swedish defense, BIFROST enables space-based monitoring and event reporting in the North Atlantic and Arctic. To improve digital workflows, Space Inventor is implementing PTC's Arena PLM solution, which will integrate with their CAD platform, Onshape, and ERP system, enhancing automated processes and data flow across departments.

Space Inventor's satellite BIFROST was successfully launched on June 21 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, after seven years of development for Danish and Swedish defense. The satellite facilitates real-time monitoring and event reporting in the North Atlantic and Arctic.
Space Inventor is enhancing its digital workflows by implementing PTC's Arena PLM solution, which will connect CAD files from Onshape to their ERP system, improving data flow and automating processes. The shift to cloud-based Onshape has allowed multiple engineers to collaborate on the same components simultaneously. Rapid development cycles, reduced from 14 months to as short as six, are crucial for maintaining market relevance amidst geopolitical changes.
