Spain Advances Amphibious Vehicle Capabilities with New Agreement
Indra and Iveco Defence Vehicles have secured a deal to deliver 34 SUPERAV 8×8 platforms for Spain's Marine Infantry, enhancing operational capabilities. This initiative is part of the Special Modernisation Programme (PEM) aimed at improving Spain's amphibious warfare capacity.

Indra Land Vehicles and Iveco Defence Vehicles (IDV) have entered into a strategic agreement to deliver 34 SUPERAV 8×8 platforms for the Spanish Marine Infantry. The vehicles will be integrated into the Marine Infantry Amphibious Combat Vehicle (VACIM) as part of Spain's Special Modernisation Programme (PEM).
Indra will provide four variants: troop transport, command and control, recovery, and ambulance, with integration conducted in Spain. The SUPERAV platform is currently used by the United States Marine Corps and the Italian Armed Forces. This collaboration enhances Spain's amphibious capabilities and positions Indra as a key player in domestic systems integration, potentially impacting future defense contracts.
