Spanish Arms Exports to Morocco Increase by Over 40% in 2025
Spanish arms exports to Morocco surged by 40.4% in 2025, reaching €29.6 million. The largest export category was bombs, grenades, and torpedoes, valued at about €15 million. The increase follows strengthened diplomatic ties between Spain and Morocco, particularly after Spain's support for Morocco's autonomy plan for the Sahara in March 2022.

In 2025, Spanish arms exports to Morocco increased by 40.4% to €29.6 million from €21.08 million in 2024, according to Spain's Ministry of Economy and Trade. The primary export category was bombs, grenades, and torpedoes, totaling €15 million, followed by war weapons accessories exceeding €12 million, and war weapons valued at nearly €1.8 million.
This rise in exports correlates with improved diplomatic relations between Spain and Morocco, especially after Spain endorsed Morocco's autonomy plan for the Sahara. The expansion of military trade occurs amid Spain's ban on military trade with Israel.
