Spanish Military Concludes Air-Ground Integration Training in Ghana
The Spanish Air and Space Force has completed training for Ghana's special operations unit, enhancing operational capabilities. This initiative is part of the EU SDI Gulf of Guinea mission, aimed at strengthening defense against regional threats.

Spanish military personnel from the Air and Space Force's Parachute Engineer Squadron (EZAPAC) have finalized a training course for Ghana Air Force's special operations unit. This training focused on Air-Ground Integration (ALI) operations, essential for coordinating ground and air assets in complex scenarios.
Key training areas included Combat Controller capabilities, Joint Fires, and Personnel Recovery, supplemented by Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Close Quarters Battle, and Special Reconnaissance. This effort supports the development of the Special Operations Squadron (SOS) as part of the EU SDI Gulf of Guinea mission, which aims to enhance military capabilities in West Africa, particularly against threats from armed terrorist groups. Spain's commitment includes previous training in Benin and Ivory Coast, indicating a strategic investment in regional security.
