Spartanburg Community College Receives $1.15 Million for Workforce Training Expansion
Spartanburg Community College (SCC) has received over $1.15 million in public and private funding to enhance its workforce training programs. The funding from the South Carolina Department of Commerce, the Appalachian Regional Commission, and Piedmont Natural Gas will facilitate the development of a clean room facility at SCC's Spark Center.
This expansion aims to strengthen the college's innovation infrastructure and boost economic development in Spartanburg County and South Carolina. The project is in collaboration with OneSpartanburg, Inc. and Palmetto InnovaSphere, positioning SCC as a key player in providing industry-aligned education for the life sciences and advanced manufacturing sectors.
