Maj. Badur Emmanuel Dominic Dismo has defected from the SPLA-IO to the SSPDF in Western Equatoria State, citing disappointment over abuses against civilians committed by opposition fighters. He emphasized that these actions contradict the principles of peace and human rights he learned during his service with the Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring and Verification Mechanism.
