Springfield Armory has introduced the Echelon 4.0FC, a modular handgun with a full-sized grip and increased magazine capacity. The St. Louis County Police Department adopted the Echelon in December 2024 under a $2.1 million contract.

The 4.0FC features a 4-inch barrel, 17+1 round flush fit capacity, and a weight of 40.1 ounces when loaded. It allows for easy customization with a removable Central Operating Group. The model is priced at $710 and is designed for both home defense and carry.
