SSC Space has signed a SEK 209 million agreement with the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) to establish satellite launch capability from Esrange Space Center, targeting operational status by 2028. This initiative aims to enhance the Swedish Armed Forces' ability to launch satellites and is part of a broader government allocation of SEK 1 billion for space capabilities through 2032.

The project includes infrastructure development, with Firefly Aerospace as the launch vehicle partner. Launch Complex 3C is under development, featuring necessary tracking, security, and control systems.
