SSC Space and FMV Partner to Establish Satellite Launch Capability at Esrange Space Center
SSC Space has signed a SEK 209 million agreement with the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) to create satellite launch capability from Esrange Space Center for the Swedish Armed Forces, operational by 2028. The initiative is part of a government decision to invest SEK 1 billion in Sweden's space capabilities through 2032, enhancing infrastructure and launch capabilities. SSC Space will collaborate with Firefly Aerospace for the launch vehicle, with ongoing development of Launch Complex 3C and associated systems.
