SSPC Reinforces Military Presence Near Mindat After Falam Recapture
The SSPC is bolstering its forces near Mindat following the recapture of Falam, indicating a potential offensive. This strategic move aims to stretch resistance forces' capabilities across Chin State, complicating their logistics and manpower.

The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) has mobilized military assets in proximity to Mindat after reclaiming Falam, with initial troop movements beginning on 25 April. Approximately 200 soldiers from Artillery Regiment 368 established a temporary forward position, and aerial resupply operations were conducted from Kyaukhtu airfield, indicating heightened military activity.
SSPC forces utilized roughly 1,800 troops in previous operations but face logistical challenges, including inadequate airstrip security. Resistance forces in Mindat are enhancing their defenses, leveraging local terrain and weather conditions in anticipation of a major conflict escalation. The potential for simultaneous fronts in Chin State may further complicate the situation for both sides.
