SSS Defence Launches Shotgun for Indian Army to Counter Drones
SSS Defence introduces a shotgun for the Indian Army, designed specifically to counter drone threats. This marks the first use of SSS Defence products in the Army, aligning with ongoing procurement trends since 2014.

SSS Defence's shotgun, weighing 3.8 kg, features a five-round magazine and is chambered in 12-gauge. It employs a gas-operated system and offers versatility with a 20-inch barrel and multi-choke capability, effective up to 100 metres.
The shotgun's design allows for various attachments via a picatinny rail, enhancing its utility in tactical scenarios. Notably, the shotgun is intended for use against drones, as its ammunition disperses pellets effectively.
The Indian Army has been procuring small arms for various units, with SSS Defence emerging as a key domestic supplier. The ongoing conflict in Ukraine highlights the shotgun's relevance in modern warfare, where UAV threats are prevalent.
