ST Engineering Secures $372M MRO Contract for Qatar Emiri Land Forces
ST Engineering has signed a €315m ($372m) contract with Barzan Maintenance Shield to provide MRO services for Qatar Emiri Land Forces. The five-year agreement will enhance the maintenance of military land platforms and introduce digital MRO processes, starting in Q2 2026. This development signifies ST Engineering's entry into the Qatar defense market and aims to improve operational readiness through advanced inventory management and data-driven support.

ST Engineering has secured a €315m ($372m) contract from Barzan Maintenance Shield to deliver maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for the Qatar Emiri Land Forces (QELF). The five-year contract will commence in the second quarter of 2026 and includes the maintenance of military land platforms, workshop equipment, and the introduction of digitalised MRO processes.
The project aims to enhance fleet analytics, anomaly detection, and inventory management. This contract represents ST Engineering's entry into the Qatar defense sector, which is expected to increase spending on military vehicles through 2034.
