Statkraft and SUNCATCHER Partner on Solar and Battery Storage in Germany
Statkraft and SUNCATCHER have formed a partnership to market three solar and battery storage projects in Germany. This collaboration highlights the growing hybrid energy segment, focusing on efficient integration of renewable energy resources.

Statkraft has signed an agreement with SUNCATCHER for the marketing of three hybrid solar and battery storage facilities in Germany, with commissioning expected in the second half of 2026. The projects—'Klötze II', 'Salzwedel', and 'Seehausen'—will feature a total installed capacity of 34.5 MWp for solar power and 12 MW for battery storage, providing 24 MWh of capacity.
Statkraft will manage the marketing and operational control of these assets until 2031, implementing a profit-sharing model for the battery systems. This partnership aims to enhance economic stability and revenue generation while supporting the energy transition in Germany. The collaboration underscores the importance of integrating renewable energy into the market effectively, especially in fluctuating market conditions.
