Steel-Cutting Ceremony for Sirius Shipping-Gasum LNG Bunker Vessel at RMK Marine

The steel-cutting ceremony for the FLEXI LNG 7800 M3 - HYBRID project was held at RMK Marine shipyard in Turkey. The 112.9-by-19-metre, 1A Ice Class vessel is set to begin operations in summer 2027. It will feature a gas combustion unit to assist with cool downs and gassing up, aiming to provide unique services for vessels using LNG.

Sirius Shipping aims to strengthen its position as a preferred choice in maritime logistics, continuing its partnership with Gasum, which began in 2012. Gasum's CEO highlighted the importance of LNG and bioLNG in reducing maritime emissions, while RMK Marine emphasized its commitment to sustainability through innovative shipbuilding.
