Steel-Cutting Ceremony for Sirius Shipping-Gasum LNG Bunker Vessel at RMK Marine
The steel-cutting ceremony for the FLEXI LNG 7800 M3 - HYBRID vessel took place at RMK Marine shipyard in Turkey, with operations expected to commence in summer 2027. This 112.9-by-19-metre, 1A Ice Class vessel will incorporate a gas combustion unit to enhance LNG services, as Sirius Shipping aims to solidify its maritime logistics position through its ongoing partnership with Gasum. Gasum's CEO emphasized the critical role of LNG and bioLNG in reducing maritime emissions, while RMK Marine reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable shipbuilding practices.
