Stockland Achieves Net Zero Scope 1 and 2 Emissions through Solar Energy Deployment
SOLAR ENERGY
Stockland has announced it has reached net zero scope 1 and 2 emissions across its operations through extensive rooftop solar installations, generating a peak of 45 megawatts of energy. This initiative, supported by Energy Bay, includes purchasing large generation certificates to ensure 100% renewable energy usage.
Remaining scope 1 emissions are offset by acquiring 2400 Australian carbon credit units from a Queensland woodland regeneration project. Stockland targets a 50% reduction in scope 3 emissions by 2030 and plans to continue investing in renewable energy and energy efficiency.
