Stratom Secures Follow-On Contract for eXpeditionary Cargo Loader After Successful Demonstration
Stratom has successfully demonstrated its eXpeditionary Cargo Loader (XCL), leading to a follow-on contract for additional units. This advancement is significant for enhancing tactical airlift operations, particularly for C-130 aircraft working from austere airfields.
Stratom announced a follow-on contract for two additional eXpeditionary Cargo Loaders (XCL) after a successful demonstration with the Air Force Research Laboratory. The XCL, a lightweight handling solution, achieved all operational objectives, supporting Agile Combat Employment and contested logistics missions.
Weighing under 5,000 pounds and capable of lifting 10,000 pounds, the system operates on tracked mobility for varied terrain and supports compatibility with 463L pallets. Stratom is pursuing further funding to expand capabilities and production. The demonstration's outcomes signify potential improvements in operational efficiency and reduced risk for airlift missions.
