StretchSense Raises $2.3 Million for Global Expansion of XR Training Gloves
StretchSense has raised $2.3 million to support the global expansion of its extended reality (XR) training gloves, aimed at enterprise and government applications. The funding round, led by PXN Ventures and supported by Scottish Enterprise, brings StretchSense's total funding to nearly $20 million.
The XR training glove is designed for immersive training without traditional controllers, utilizing haptic feedback to enhance realism. Targeted sectors include healthcare, education, aviation, and defense, alongside gaming and consumer XR markets.
The virtual training market is projected to reach $265 billion by 2030. StretchSense appointed Chris Chapman as CEO and Philip Jamison as CRO, strengthening its leadership team. The company operates from Edinburgh and Auckland, with plans to advance product development by 2026 for improved learning outcomes in immersive training.
