Sukošan Solar Power Plant to Achieve 45 MW Capacity and New Substation by 2026
The Sukošan Solar Power Plant in Croatia aims for a 45 MW grid connection and includes a new 110/33 kV substation. This project is significant for enhancing the country's renewable energy capabilities and supporting its energy-transition objectives.

The Sukošan Solar Power Plant, developed in Zadar County, will connect to the 110 kV network with a capacity of 45 MW. It will feature approximately 56.5 MWp of photovoltaic modules and a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) operating at 50 MW with a capacity of 200 MWh.
Construction is slated to begin after the building permit is expected in Q2 2026, with a ready-to-build status targeted for late 2026. The project is supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and will contribute significantly to Croatia's renewable energy production, enhancing electricity supply security and sustainable energy systems.
