On June 18, 2026, Indanan Mayor Albakil Jikiri facilitated the transfer of a Rifle-Propelled Grenade launcher and two high-explosive anti-tank warheads to the 100th Infantry Battalion, led by Lieutenant Colonel Samuel Bayongasan. The handover is part of ongoing initiatives to promote safety and peace in Sulu, with the 1103rd Infantry Brigade emphasizing the importance of surrendering firearms to prevent violence and foster community trust.
