Sun Village and DAIHEN Partner on 2.4 GWh Battery Storage Initiative
Sun Village Co., Ltd. and DAIHEN Corporation are collaborating to develop grid-scale battery storage systems with a capacity of 2.4 GWh. This partnership is significant for enhancing renewable energy integration and supporting decarbonization efforts in the energy sector.

Sun Village Co., Ltd. and DAIHEN Corporation are set to develop grid-scale battery energy storage systems with a target capacity of 2.4 GWh. The project includes the deployment of six high-voltage battery systems in FY2025 and over 70 projects in FY2026.
DAIHEN's battery package will incorporate components such as power conditioning and energy management systems that comply with the upcoming JC-STAR★1 certification, mandatory by April 2027. The initiative aims for 250 sites with a total output of 500 MW, promoting renewable energy adoption and contributing to a decarbonized society. This partnership may significantly impact the energy storage market, highlighting the need for compliant technology ahead of regulatory changes.
