Super PACs Invest Over $425 Million in Michigan House Elections
House Majority PAC plans a historic $272 million investment in the 2026 Michigan House races, focusing on offensive targets. Congressional Leadership Fund will counter with $153.1 million aimed at defending Republican-held seats.

House Majority PAC (HMP) has reserved $272 million for advertising in the 2026 election cycle, with significant investments in Michigan, including $14.4 million targeting Rep. John James' seat. Congressional Leadership Fund (CLF) will invest $153.1 million across 38 markets, primarily for defense.
HMP aims to unseat first-term Rep. Tom Barrett in Lansing with $5.19 million and target Rep. Bill Huizenga in Grand Rapids with $5.25 million.
CLF is reserving $12.6 million to protect the James seat. The competitive landscape is highlighted by the fact that both parties are making substantial financial commitments to secure key districts, indicating a highly contested electoral environment.
