On April 21, 2026, Maj. Gen. Jonas Wikman, commander of the Swedish Air Force, visited the Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA) headquarters at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi.
This engagement included discussions with Rear Adm. Max McCoy, observation of flight operations, and interaction with Swedish student naval aviators involved in the joint training syllabus. The collaboration enables Swedish service members to train alongside U.S. counterparts, promoting interoperability through platforms such as the T6B Texan II and T-44C Pegasus.
CNATRA oversees training for various military branches, ensuring readiness and enhanced operational capabilities, while supporting strategic objectives in collective defense. Future training exchanges were also discussed, emphasizing continued modernization of joint syllabi.
