Swedish Fortifications Agency Acquires Former SAS Building in Solna for 3 Billion SEK
Fortifikationsverket has purchased the property Solna Haga 2:8, known as Gate 01, from Mengus for approximately 3 billion SEK. The acquisition includes an additional 0.5 billion SEK in tax compensation. The site covers 50,000 square meters and 26 hectares near Brunnsviken, just outside Stockholm. The purchase is necessitated by the need to renovate the current Defense Headquarters at Lidingövägen 24, which will be emptied during renovations. The plan is to establish the headquarters at three locations, including the new site in Frösundavik.
