Swiss Companies Continue Military Exports to Israel Despite Controversy
Since the October 7, 2023 attacks, over 24 million francs of dual-use or military goods have been exported from Switzerland to Israel. Export activity surged in early 2024, with nearly 6 million francs in military-related exports compared to 238,000 francs in late 2023. The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs confirms compliance with regulations, despite legal debates amid international scrutiny. Notably, components were sent to defense firms like Elbit, and machinery was exported for military vehicle production. Companies assert adherence to laws governing exports.
