Synergy Marine Group has taken over the technical management of the LNG dual-fuel container vessels 'YM WILLPOWER' and 'YM WORTHINESS', owned by Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation. Built by Hyundai Heavy Industries, these vessels, each with a capacity of 15,500 TEU, are part of Yang Ming's fleet modernization program.
'YM WILLPOWER' commenced its inaugural voyage on February 8. Synergy will manage crewing, maintenance, and compliance from its India-based teams, ensuring safe LNG operations. The vessels are equipped with high-pressure LNG dual-fuel engines and energy-efficient designs. This management transition strengthens Synergy's position in alternative-fuel ship management.
