Syos Aerospace is set to announce the location of a new production line for its SA200 rotary-wing drone in the UK, aimed at launching serial production. Currently, the SA200 is produced in limited quantities for testing and demonstrations, but the company seeks a dedicated facility as it expands its operational capabilities.

The SA200, a 200kg payload platform, is designed for high autonomy and cost-effectiveness. Syos has been selected by the UK Ministry of Defence for Project Nyx, which aims to develop a 'loyal wingman' drone to complement the British Army's Boeing AH-64E attack helicopters.

The company is exploring options for further developing the SA200 to meet the project's requirements, which include a payload capacity exceeding 250kg. Syos is considering partnerships to enhance its position in the tender process while maintaining the ability to scale production efficiently.
