Taihan Cable & Solution Wins EHV Submarine Cable Project in South Korea
Taihan Cable & Solution has secured a contract to supply extra-high-voltage submarine cables for solar power projects in South Korea, enhancing its market position. This project marks a collaboration with Taihan Ocean Works, signifying a strategic integrated approach in manufacturing and installation.

On April 28, Taihan Cable & Solution announced its contract to provide 154 kV-class extra-high-voltage submarine cables for renewable energy projects in Sinan County, South Korea. The system will connect electricity from the Bigeum and Dogo Floating Solar Power Plants to the Anjwa Substation, enhancing grid interconnection for efficient renewable energy utilization.
Taihan Ocean Works, a subsidiary focused on marine installations, will manage transportation and cable laying. This project, part of a broader strategy to strengthen market competitiveness, follows Taihan's selection as a lead operator in the Korean government's Supply Chain Stabilization Initiative. Additionally, Taihan is constructing a second submarine cable plant and reviewing plans for a new cable-laying vessel, aiming to bolster its capabilities for large-scale projects.
