Taiwan Logistics Sector Growth Driven by AI Freight and Shipping Stability

NATURAL GAS

Taiwan's logistics sector is projected to grow significantly in 2025, fueled by AI-driven air freight and stable dry bulk shipping. Freight forwarder Dimerco anticipates a 20% increase in air and sea freight volumes, with consolidated revenue reaching NT$29.3 billion (US$925.65 million), a 4.8% rise.

Air freight rates on key Asian routes have hit historic highs. Dimerco's Chair noted that AI-related cargo will support air freight to North America and Europe. Integrated logistics provider Chien Shing expects record revenue of NT$3.24 billion, marking a 12% increase, supported by environmentally friendly coal storage and expansion into natural gas and AI-related warehousing. Dry bulk shipper Wisdom Marine forecasts NT$16.89 billion in revenue and will renew its fleet with eight energy-efficient vessels in 2026, despite initial challenges from US tariffs.
