Taiwan's Investment Commission Approves Major Investments in Semiconductor and Healthcare Sectors
The Investment Commission of Taiwan has sanctioned six significant investment projects totaling approximately NT$12.835 billion and US$358.36 million. Notably, Lam Research Corp. will inject NT$9.835 billion to enhance semiconductor manufacturing operations in Taiwan.

The Investment Commission in Taiwan has approved six major investment cases, including a US$310 million investment by Lam Research Corp. in its Taiwanese subsidiary. This investment aims to bolster research and development in advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
Additionally, Zhen Ding Technology Holding Ltd. will invest NT$3 billion in Boardtek Electronics Corp. for PCB R&D and manufacturing, while Nuvoton Technology Corp. will allocate 15 billion yen for IC product operations in Japan. Furthermore, YMA Corp. plans to invest US$60 million for solid-state battery production in the U.S.
Other approvals include Li Yi International Investment Co.'s US$57.01 million investment in Mitsubishi Fuso Bus Manufacturing and Grand Health Holdings' acquisition of Midas Health Co. Ltd. for US$147 million, targeting healthcare market expansion. Living Lab Ventures has also invested in Indonesian and Japanese healthcare companies, underlining the growing trend of cross-border collaborations in the healthcare sector, which could enhance strategic opportunities in Southeast Asia.
