Tallgrass and Mitsubishi Power Allocate Turbines for Cheyenne Power Hub
Tallgrass and Mitsubishi Power Americas have announced the allocation of two M501JAC gas turbines to support the Cheyenne Power Hub, which will generate approximately 1,150 MW of power. This $7 billion investment aims to provide dedicated energy to a large-scale data center in Wyoming while minimizing impacts on the existing grid.

Tallgrass and Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. have confirmed the delivery site for the first two M501JAC gas turbines for the Cheyenne Power Hub in Wyoming. The project will generate about 1,150 MW of power using natural gas from the Rockies Express Pipeline, representing an investment exceeding $7 billion and creating over 100 long-term jobs.
Designed to limit community impacts, the dedicated power will alleviate strain on the local grid. Additionally, the project includes a grid interconnection to facilitate future renewable energy integration, enhancing its alignment with decarbonization efforts. The arrival of the first turbine components is anticipated to start in July, highlighting the commitment to infrastructure resilience.
