The Regional Administrative Tribunal of Lazio has ruled on the LNG terminal project in Cagliari, determining that the silence of the administrations on the matter was illegitimate. This ruling ends years of administrative stalling and requires a prompt decision. Regional Councillor Alberto Urpi has urged the Sardinian government to act quickly to authorize the terminal, emphasizing the need for immediate gas availability in Southern Sardinia to reduce energy costs for families and businesses.

The TAR Lazio has deemed the silence of the authorities regarding the LNG terminal project in Cagliari illegitimate, mandating an expedited conclusion to the process. Regional Councillor Alberto Urpi previously questioned the Regional Industry Assessor on the delays in granting necessary regional agreements.
He emphasized the urgent need for methane gas in Southern Sardinia to lower energy costs. Urpi argues that the authorization delays are harming citizens and businesses, forcing reliance on more expensive fuels. He calls for a decisive action from the Sardinian government to leverage the Cagliari port as an energy hub.
