TCL Zhonghuan's 14GW PV Cell Upgrade Project Approved in Xinzhou
TCL Zhonghuan's subsidiary, DAS Solar Technology, has received approval for a 14GW BC cell production upgrade in Xinzhou with an investment of 1.18 billion yuan. This project aims to enhance existing facilities and equipment, targeting improved production efficiency and capacity by 2026.

DAS Solar Technology (Xinzhou) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of TCL Zhonghuan, has secured filing approval for a 14GW BC high-efficiency photovoltaic cell production line upgrade, with a total investment of approximately 1.18 billion yuan. The project will retrofit existing machinery, acquire advanced equipment, and optimize software systems to enhance production capabilities.
Scheduled to launch in July 2026, the upgraded facility aims to start production by the end of the third quarter of 2026. Other companies, such as LONGi Green Energy and JA Solar, are also investing in technological upgrades for their production lines, focusing on high-efficiency cell technologies. This trend indicates a significant shift towards optimizing existing capacities rather than expanding them.
