Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Requests Army to Appoint Special Officers for Civil-Military Issues
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy called for the appointment of Special Officers by the Army to resolve civil-military issues, including land allotment and Sainik Schools. During the Civil-Military Liaison Conference, attended by senior officials, he emphasized the need for sustained dialogue to address administrative bottlenecks.
Telangana has not received its share of Sainik Schools in the last decade, while other states have been sanctioned two to four. The CM requested the transfer of the Southern Command Centre headquarters to Hyderabad. The state government has allocated 3,000 acres for a Navy radar station in Vikarabad and expressed readiness to cooperate with the Armed Forces to enhance national security.
