Telangana Mother Seeks Assistance for Son's Return from Abu Dhabi Amid Recruitment Deadline
A Telangana mother has requested Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's assistance to secure her son Koparthi Abhilash's return from Abu Dhabi, where he faces a visa cancellation payment preventing his participation in the Agniveer recruitment process. Abhilash, shortlisted for the Physical Screening Test, is unable to meet the fee demands from his employer and recruiting agency.

Sumalatha, a resident of Telangana, has appealed for government support to bring her son, Koparthi Abhilash, back from Abu Dhabi. Abhilash, who traveled to the UAE for employment on July 8, 2026, and received an employment visa shortly thereafter, is now facing a visa cancellation fee of Rs 1.08 lakh (AED 4,100) imposed by his employer.
This fee is blocking his opportunity to participate in the Physical Screening Test for the Agniveer Army recruitment program. The recruitment process is crucial, as the written examination took place from June 1 to 15, and physical tests are scheduled between July and September.
The situation highlights the financial challenges faced by candidates from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Immediate intervention from the government may be critical to facilitate Abhilash's return and support other candidates in similar predicaments.
