Telangana Secures ₹11,500 Crore Investments at WEF 2026, Including Clean Energy and AI Initiatives
On January 21, during the 2026 World Economic Forum in Davos, Telangana's delegation secured investments totaling ₹11,500 crore. A joint venture between Slovakia's IQ Capital and India's Green House Enviro submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) for a ₹6,000 crore Small Modular Reactor (SMR) clean energy project with a capacity of 300 megawatts.
Additionally, Telangana signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with US private equity firm Sagrad for a ₹1,000 crore investment over three to five years. The delegation also partnered with California-based Blaize for AI hardware development, aiming to enhance research capabilities in Hyderabad.
L'Oréal announced plans for a Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad with a ₹3,500 crore investment, projected to be the first of its kind in beauty-tech. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized the state's commitment to sustainable and advanced energy projects, aligning with the goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2047.
