Teledyne Appoints Lei to Oversee Aerospace and Defense Electronics Segment
Teledyne Technologies has appointed Lei, President of Teledyne FLIR, to oversee its aerospace and defense electronics segment, following her successful leadership at FLIR Defense. CEO George Bobb highlighted her expertise in enhancing capabilities for global defense customers, as Teledyne aims to leverage its technologies in unmanned systems and surveillance. This leadership change coincides with Teledyne's recent expansion in defense markets, including a potential contract with the Marine Corps and the acquisition of Excelitas' aerospace and defense businesses.

Teledyne FLIR President Lei will also oversee the aerospace and defense electronics segment as part of a new leadership role. Teledyne Technologies CEO George Bobb noted Lei's successful leadership at FLIR Defense, which has led to strong financial performance and advanced capabilities for global defense customers.
Lei's focus will be on leveraging Teledyne's Defense and Aerospace technologies to provide comprehensive solutions. The defense and aerospace group specializes in unmanned systems, surveillance technologies, avionics, and high-reliability components.
Lei has an extensive background, having led NASA's research directorate and worked in various roles at the White House and NASA. Her appointment follows Teledyne's expansion in defense markets, including a potential eight-year contract with the Marine Corps for drone platforms and the $710 million acquisition of Excelitas aerospace and defense electronics businesses.
