Teledyne e2v Launches Caiman Imaging Module for Low Light Applications
Teledyne e2v has launched the Caiman imaging module, a compact and low-power solution for low light applications, featuring the OnyxMax sensor. Its capabilities make it suitable for night vision and surveillance, addressing industry demands for high sensitivity and image quality.

Teledyne e2v has introduced the Caiman imaging module, designed for low light applications, utilizing the OnyxMax sensor. This module offers high quantum efficiency, spatial resolution in the near-infrared range, and low noise performance, allowing operation in lighting conditions below 1 mlx.
With power consumption under 1W and frame rates exceeding 120 fps, Caiman is positioned for extended use and real-time visualization. Integration is facilitated by its MIPI interface, compatible with standard System on Chips (SOCs).
Caiman will be featured at SPIE Defense + Security in Maryland, USA, from April 26 to April 30, 2026. The product's application in surveillance and scientific imaging may significantly enhance operational capabilities in low-light environments.
