Tenaris Wins Pipe Supply Contract for Turkey's Sakarya Gas Field Phase 3 Development
Tenaris has secured a pipe supply contract for the Sakarya gas field Phase 3 development in Turkey's Black Sea region. This project, led by Turkish Petroleum Corporation, is crucial for Turkey's energy independence, aiming to reduce reliance on imported natural gas.
The Sakarya gas field, discovered in 2020, holds an estimated 540 billion cubic meters of recoverable reserves. Tenaris will provide specialized seamless pipes for underwater gas extraction, utilizing advanced manufacturing technologies.
The contract is valued at several hundred million dollars, with expectations for the project to contribute significantly to Turkey's energy security and economic development, including job creation and local infrastructure improvements.
