Previously part of the Tennessee Central Railroad, the converted rail beds offer walking and biking routes, contributing to a regional greenway corridor.

In December 2025, TennGreen Land Conservancy donated the Eagle Pass Trail tracts to Ashland City to support the Cumberland River Bicentennial Trail's development. This segment connects the trail to the US Army Corps of Engineers Lock A, enhancing recreational space and trail accessibility.
The Eagle Pass area, acquired by TennGreen in 2000 and expanded in 2011, consists of former railroad corridors transformed into scenic walking and biking trails. The project aims to build a greenway system along the Cumberland River, promoting community health and conserving the land's historical significance.
